Multiplied Art Fair at Christie’s

Vital Arts was honoured to be named the Affiliated Charity of Christie’s 2013 Multiplied Art Fair, the UK’s only fair devoted exclusively to contemporary art in editions. As well as providing, free-of-charge, a stand to display our limited editions, Christie’s also generously organised a raffle of one of our Bob and Roberta Smith prints, with all proceeds going to support our work at Barts Health NHS Trust.

Held at the auction house’s South Kensington premises, the fair encompassed print, digital art and multiples, artist’s books and photographs, reflecting the whole spectrum of contemporary publishing–from established galleries representing high profile artists, to start-up spaces and artists’ collectives.

We offered our the full range of limited editions and launched two new ones; a stunning beaded and embellished canvas print by Tord Boontje and a sumptuous painted landscape by acclaimed international artist Hurvin Anderson.  (View all our limited edition prints here.)

As part of Multiplied, Vital Arts offered tours of some of the commissioned artworks at the Royal London Hospital. Highlights included installations by Peter Liversidge, Chris Watson, Bob and Roberta Smith, Morag Myerscough, Georgie Hopton, Ruth Claxton, Blaise Drummond, Hurvin Anderson, Deepa Chudasama, Adeela Suleman, Richard Slee, Jessica Voorsanger and Lothar Götz.

In 2014, Multiplied Art Fair returned for its fifth year and we were delighted to be given a stand, once again, to display our Limited Editions—the sale of which raised funds for the Vital Arts Patient Participation Programme. Multiplied, hosted by Christie’s, was the UK’s only fair devoted exclusively to contemporary art in editions. It took place during Frieze week and offered a rich programme of talks and workshops. The fair proved very successful for Vital Arts, selling out of a few of our editions, raising funds for our Patient Participation Programme which supports wellbeing at Barts Health NHS Trust.
