Bringing the Outside In

Fiona Curran
Oct – Jan 2010/11
The Royal London Hospital Gallery

Fiona Curran’s works are developed from a process of folding forms and building up planes of colour and angular shapes through collage. They refer to historical traditions of applied decorative arts whilst borrowing from the seductive colour palette of contemporary advertising and the computer screen.

Curran graduated from Manchester School of Art in 2001.  As well as producing art, she also writes and teaches.  Vital Arts recently commissioned her to create site specific work for the new Health and Wellness Centre at 34 Ashfield Street, London E1.
