East London Printmakers

In partnership with East London Printmakers (ELP), a not-for-profit, co-operative, artist-run print studio based in Mile End, Vital Arts have launched an annual display of works by ELP Members, for the main building corridor of Mile End Hospital.

Submitted via an open call and shortlisted by the Barts Creative Health Staff Interest Group, the selection and curation process was facilitated by Vital Arts.

ELP provide professional and affordable printmaking facilities for artists and designers. They also offer Community Access sessions for screen printing on paper and fabric, etching, and relief, and run a variety of courses, residency schemes and open studios events. The exhibition aims to provide signposting to local creative organisations, and introduce print techniques to the Mile End community.

Artworks are available to purchase. Proceeds directly support the individual artist, with an optional donation to the Vital Arts Programme. To learn more about East London Printmakers, exhibiting artists, or to purchase an artwork, visit the link below:

This project forms part of Vital Arts’ 30th anniversary programme, celebrating three decades of bringing art into healthcare settings.

The exhibition was launched as part of Creativity & Wellbeing Week 2026.
