Music Producer Club taster sessions

We are inviting people aged 16-25 who use Newham Hospital services to join Create. Define. Release. (C.D.R.) in their Music Producer Club taster sessions at Newham Hospital.

Music Producer Club creates space for young people to nurture their digital music-making ambitions, skills and identity through composition, production and performance. Created in response to the severe lack of music-making opportunities for young people, especially which reflect their everyday lives, experiences, and cultures, Music Producer Club is committed to creating high quality, impactful experiences for young people through music technology, linking to the music industry. The aim is to nurture and support the next generation of forward thinking music professionals, giving them the skills and mindset and careers advice to prepare them for a world of creativity and personal innovation.

Drop in to either (or both) of these taster sessions to get a feel for music production and to find out more about our future plans and how you can be involved.

Who are Create. Define. Release.?

CDR are a black-led music and talent development organisation with a deep heritage in the UK's grassroots electronic music scene. We are a community made up of generations of music producers, practitioners and fans.

Our purpose is to nurture independent music makers and progress black electronic music across many genres: from Hip-hop to Brokenbeat, Techno to Jazz, Garage to Grime and the many fusions in between.

Through Music Producer Club, we work with children and young people in schools and youth centres opening up routes into music and diversifying the music curriculum. We're operating in towns and cities around the country and the world, from Bristol to Nairobi

“I would describe this experience as free, exhilarating and nice… It’s one of the best things I’ve ever experienced in my life.”
