Award winning ceramicist Katharine Morling intrigued young patients with clay modelling workshops throughout May and June. Patients recreated memories, belongings and everyday objects through sketches and clay models. Personal objects were reinvented through stories into ceramic pieces with a touch of the surreal. Katharine Morling has been commissioned to create a dynamic animated scene, based on patients belongings and made entirely from porcelain. The commission will form part of the hospital's permanent art collection and will be installed in the new children's hospital, alongside patient's own work in the new Children's Gallery.
