Throw Caution To The Wind ~ Tales of Thrill and Adventure

Vital Arts invited artists' collective Container to work with Barts and The Royal London orthopaedic and cancer patients on a visual arts and storytelling project. Container visited wards, collecting stories from patients about adventures throughout their lives, moments when they had done something exciting, daring or memorable. These stories have been transcribed and individually illustrated to create a beautiful, limited edition booklet. Copies of the booklet are being left in wards and waiting areas for future patients to enjoy and distributed through the hospital Sweet Trolley. The booklet includes an invitation for readers share their adventures with us. A collection of stories will be exhibited as 3-D models in the new Royal London Hospital when it opens in 2012.
