ARTS IN HEALTH: RECOVERY AND WELLBEING WITH VITAL ARTS
Tate Exchange is a ground-breaking new programme from the Tate which will invite the public to come together with international artists and over fifty Associates annually to collaborate, test ideas and discover new perspectives on life, through art.
This free programme will take place in the dedicated, spectacular spaces of Tate Exchange in the new Switch House at Tate Modern.
During the weekend of 4th and 5th March 2017, Vital Arts will investigate the topic of ‘Arts in Health’ and invite the public to join in discussions and share their own experiences of arts within a hospital setting. We will ask how the artwork, design and environment effected mood, recovery and overall wellbeing. Alongside discussions, we will hold artist-led workshops, invite the public to partake in our ‘joke exchange’, host a renal recipe swap, and discover how art and design can have a positive impact on dementia and other health related issues. This weekend exploring the public’s perception of arts and wellbeing is intended for all ages.
